Martin D18 Golden Era (2005)
Martin D18 2005 Golden Era – Martin’s Golden Era guitars are amazing replica’s of their instruments from 1934. In addition to having mahogany back and sides with an Adirondack spruce top, the Golden Era has forward scalloped braces, a 1 3/4″ bone nut, 2 5/16″ string spacing, Waverly tuners and this particular guitar comes stage ready with a K&K pickup. This guitar is freshly set up and plays and sounds as good as it looks. Please take note of the neck lifting slightly at the heel. Despite that, the neck is straight and structurally sound so there’s no need to do anything drastic. There’s also a small ding on the right lower bout, a dent that looks like it was filled on the side near the sound hole and a few other dings that are typical of a guitar that’s been well played.
