The Bourgeois Country Boy Touchstone Series Dreadnought is a modern take on the classic acoustic workhorse, combining the power and projection players expect from a dreadnought with the nuance and craftsmanship Bourgeois is known for. Its torrefied Alaskan Sitka spruce top is paired with genuine mahogany back and sides, producing a warm, dry, woody voice with plenty of immediacy and punch.
The tonal balance is distinctly Bourgeois, with articulate highs, a strong and controlled low end, and a rich midrange that gives individual notes plenty of definition. Whether you’re flatpicking, strumming, or accompanying vocals, the guitar has the headroom and presence to hold its own. The torrefied spruce top also contributes a broken-in quality, offering the responsiveness and character of a well-loved vintage instrument from day one.
